DIRECTOR OF SILVER WATTLE QUAKER CENTRE
Silver Wattle Quaker Centre Ltd. is moving from the establishment phase of trialling courses and acquiring the property to the development phase of ensuring the long term spiritual and financial viability of Silver Wattle, Australia’s new Quaker retreat and study centre.
The inaugural Director at Silver Wattle, Helen Bayes, has given over 2 years of service to establish this Quaker Centre in Australia. The Board is considering options for over the three years 2012-14.
The Director has a central role in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of Silver Wattle Quaker Centre, working in conjunction with the Board, and the Advisory, Programs & Learning and Elders Committees.
Like much of the work establishing Silver Wattle, this is a position to which people are called in service. Remuneration is by way of accommodation and meals being provided.
The Director is accommodated on site and is supported by a part-time administrator.
Copies of the SWQC Ltd. Constitution and the Director’s Position Description are available on request.
The Board is open to considering Co-director options that meet the outcomes of the position.
